  • We collect your email and what type of entertainer you are when you pre-register.
  • We use this to email you about Hooray's launch and (if you opt in) progress updates.
  • We don't sell or share your data with anyone.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • We delete your data 30 days after launch if you don't create a Hooray account.
  • We use cookies for essential function and (with your consent) anonymous analytics.

We're an online marketplace connecting entertainers and event bookers in Ireland.

What we collect and why

Pre-registration

  • Email address: To notify you about launch and platform updates
  • Entertainer type: To understand our community and tailor communications
  • Consent records: To prove lawful basis for processing (GDPR compliance)

Automatic data

  • IP address & user agent: For security and rate limiting (stored temporarily)

Legal basis for processing

  • Consent: Marketing emails (only if you opt in)
  • Legitimate interest: Launch notifications for pre-registered users
  • Legal obligation: Audit logs for compliance

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. Limited sharing with:

  • Supabase (EU): Database hosting in Frankfurt, Germany
  • Resend (US/EU): Email delivery with EU data processing addendum
  • Plausible (EU): Anonymous analytics hosted in Germany

How long we keep your data

  • Pre-registration data: 30 days after launch, then deleted if no account created
  • Audit logs: 24 months (legal requirement)
  • Unsubscribed emails: Retained as hashed value for 12 months to prevent re-add

Cookies

We use two types of cookies:

  • Essential: Cookie consent preference (stored locally, no server tracking)
  • Analytics (optional): Plausible for anonymous usage statistics, no personal data, no cross-site tracking

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your data
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate information
  • Erasure: Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability: Export your data in a standard format
